- Yellow, sooty flame leaving black marks on the pans
- Knob turns freely with no gas coming through behind it
Independent Viking service · Phoenix, AZ
Ranges, wall ovens, built-in refrigeration and dishwashers on the north side of Phoenix — Moon Valley down to Laveen. We read the appliance first, tell you what the reading means, and put a number on it before a single panel comes off.
Two ways in
No forms and no email on this site — a kitchen fault is a conversation, and the model number plus a description of what changed usually narrows it to two or three candidates before anyone drives out.
Flat $89 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it.

These are the descriptions people actually give on the phone, grouped by what they turn out to be about. Recognising yours here saves the first ten minutes of the call.
Do not wait for a booking window
If you can smell gas, leave the appliance alone, open the house up and call the gas utility before you call us. We will pick the appliance up afterwards.
Asked most often
Six of them, answered in full rather than teased. If the answer saves you a call-out, that is still the right outcome.
Moon Valley, Deer Valley and Paradise Valley Village sit on one loop, so a morning call usually gets an afternoon window. Laveen is the far end of the map and normally gets a slot the following morning. The line is answered 24/7; technicians are out 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days.
Usually not. A steady click means the spark module is powered and the electrode is firing, so the electrical half of the ignition chain has already proved itself. What is left is a damp or misseated burner cap, a port blocked with dust or boil-over, or a valve that is not opening. Two of those three cost nothing but time.
That pattern is about heat load, not about the fridge being broken. A condenser matted with dust cannot shed heat into a kitchen that is already warm, so the unit holds temperature until ambient climbs and then loses. Nine times out of ten the fix is a proper coil clean and a condenser fan check, and it is worth ruling that out before anyone talks about the sealed system.
A flat $89 service call covers the trip and the full diagnosis. If you approve the repair it comes off the total in full. If you decide against it you pay the $89 and nothing else — no quote fee, no callout surcharge, and no parts ordered before you have said yes.
Always. The diagnosis happens first, then you get one number covering parts and labour, and nothing is dismantled until you have agreed to it. If the fault turns out to be smaller than it looked, the number comes down rather than staying where it was quoted.
It shortens its life. Scale builds on the heater, inside the wash arms and across the fill valve, and the first sign is a chalky film on glassware rather than a fault code. Descaling and clearing the arms restores most machines; leaving it long enough turns a cleaning job into a heater or pump job.

Builder install, and the upper rack had been sagging on broken rollers until it fouled the wash arm. He changed the rollers and the arm bearing, then levelled the machine, which nobody had ever done.
Ezekiel B.Laveen
Both cavities went dead at once, no display, no clock. One control board serves the pair on this model and it had quit. He named it on the first visit and had the oven working a few days later.

The front burner had two settings, roaring or off, nothing between them. He stripped and rebuilt the valve instead of selling me a new manifold. It turns smoothly now and the low flame stays put.

Where the van goes
Keeping the map tight is what makes a same-week window realistic. These four are the addresses the route is actually planned around.
Outside these four? Ask anyway — the loop is not a boundary, it is where the earliest windows are.
